The 55SH Series II offers the iconic Shure UNlDYNE design coupled with modern acoustic components to meet today's performance standards. The 55SH Series II has a cardioid (unidirectional) polar pattern that minimizes the pickup of sound from behind the microphone. This allows the 55SH Series II to be used in close proximity to loudspeakers without creating acoustic feedback problems; it can operate in adverse acoustic conditions in which omnidirectional microphones are inadequate./The 55SH Series II has a low-impedance balanced output for connection to nominal microphone inputs from 75 to 300 ohms. The microphone features a silentblock capsule mount to reduce noise from the stand, an on/off switch, and an integral self-retracting 5/8"-27 threaded swivel mount./This microphone is ideal for sound reinforcement systems or theater stages, as well as for broadcasting, recording, and other sound reinforcement applications where a stand microphone with a classic look is desired.
