The PM5D-RH model is equipped with 48 mic/line preamps from the PM5000, the gain values are stored in the scenes. Four stereo inputs (same preamps) can handle pairs of microphones. The outputs consist of 24 mix busses, 8 matrixes, and the stereo bus with two slices A and B. The console also has 3 digital stereo inputs/outputs in AES/EBU and S/PDIF.
Head amp recall function that allows the head amp gain settings to be recalled along with other console scene data.
48 mono and 4 stereo inputs, 24 mix busses and 2 stereo outputs, and 8 matrix outputs.
Custom "DSP7" LSI for ultra-fast 96 kHz/32-bit processing.
I/O capacity and functionality can be doubled or tripled by adding one or two rack-mountable DSP5D digital mixing systems.
Easy "virtual soundcheck" with individually assignable channels requires no complex repatching.
Built-in VCM (Virtual Circuit Modeling) effects provide flawless simulations of classic signal processing devices.
8 high-performance multi-effects processors and 12 integrated graphic equalizers.
Enhanced security features allow the system to work perfectly in any application.
The PM5D-RH features 48 XLR mic/line inputs with memorable PM5000 preamps plus 4 mic/line level stereo inputs. You're assured of the best sound quality at all times. The PM5000's preamps provide even more warmth and dynamics.
A new standard in size, weight and performance for touring and installation
Although the PM5D appears to be a 24-channel console, it's much more than that: a total of 130 input connectors, 64 channels of L-R, L-C-R, and even surround mixes, 24 mix busses, and 500 stage memories. Not to mention the equivalent of a huge processing rack: 56 noise-gates, 92 compressors, 97 delays, 12 31-band graphic equalizers and 8 SPX2000-type multi-effects.
All this in a 950mm x 1551mm chassis weighing less than 98 kg and powered by a 3U external rack for 10 kg. If you have already been touring with traditional equipment, you will certainly appreciate the savings in space, energy and budget that a mixing console like the PM5D will bring you.
Internal processing
The PM5D works at the high definition 24-bit/96kHz audio standard without compromise. No channel or processor will be sacrificed for 44.1, 48, 88.2 or 96kHz sample rates.
Internal processing is 32-bit (58-bit data bus accumulators) to ensure complete signal integrity throughout the digital audio chain.
Internal Effects Processors
The PM5D is equipped with eight independent SPX2000-class multi-effects that can be insert-patched to input channels or fed from output busses as auxiliary sends. They offer a wide range of presets from classic reverbs to spinning effects and other echoes and delays.
The PM5D is also ready for the new Add-Ons already available for the DM2000 and O2R96 consoles. The REV-X effect is already included in the PM5D.
